Hi! And welcome to The Happy, Healthy Family!
I started the blog in 2016 as “wife” to my awesome hubby Erik and “mommy” to our sweet and spunky little girl, Emerson. We were all elated that we’d soon be welcoming a baby boy to the mix (Luke, born March 2017)!
It amazed me how motherhood had opened this whole new world inside of me that I never knew existed!
And, as I embarked on this beautiful new journey, the blog became my place to share the little tips and tricks I’d learned to make this new world easier and more fun to navigate.
The best part?! I got to know so many new moms that were in the same stage of life as me. And I got to learn from them as well!
Fast forward to today. A time where my passion to help cultivate the best life for my family continues to grow. If there’s a way to do it healthier, we’ll try it.
We’re talking healthy, nutritious meals to nourish our bodies. Meaningful interactions that make our hearts happy and full of joy. Cultivating family traditions our kids will be excited to share with their children…and a happy marriage that inspires them and teaches them to settle for nothing but the very best when choosing their spouse one day.
And for myself? A mother, wife, and child of God. I’ll never stop striving for ways to create opportunities for self-care and self-reflection. To honor my needs with mommy time-outs and to give myself grace when I need it most.
Because this mom life?
It’s beautiful. It’s chaotic. And it’s fleeting. A time to give ourselves every opportunity to thrive in a life of gratitude and joy.
If these things resonate with you too, let me tell you that “you’re in the right place!”
And I’m so happy you’re here.
I believe that the greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you.Joyce Meyer
